Bio

Rojelio Palacios is a queer, transgender artist, who was born in Mexico and is currently based out of Toronto, Ontario. Rojelio primarily works in oils and graphite, creating portraits and figurative art. Through his work Rojelio is exploring themes of gender, sexuality, and what it means to be trans. Rojelio graduated from Georgian College with a certificate in Art and Design Fundamentals and a diploma in Fine Arts Advanced. He has exhibited at the Georgian College Gallery, The Gilbert Centre, The Ada Slaight Gallery at OCAD University and currently has an exhibit at The 519. He was the recipient of the Barrie Arts Club Award. Rojelio will be screenings a film at the Inside Out Film Festival in 2020. He is currently working towards his BFA in Drawing and Painting, with a minor in Gender and Sexuality at OCAD University.
